CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh’s Minister for Higher and Technical Education, Inder Singh Parmar, visited CRISP (Centre for Research and Industrial Staff Performance). During his visit, he inspected various departments and labs, including the Multimedia Lab, VLSI, Cisco Lab, PLC Lab, Handicraft, Behavioral Science, and other technical facilities. He deliberated on making CRISP’s skill development programs more effective.
Present at the occasion were Rajeev Tripathi, Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi Technological University; Srikant Patil, Managing Director of CRISP; Amol Vaidya, Director of CRISP; and Rajesh Maheshwari, Chief Marketing Officer of CRISP. The minister gathered information about CRISP’s resources and facilities and appreciated the ongoing skill development programs.
Minister Parmar showed a particular interest in the Building Automation Specialist training program, which offers specialized three-month training to personnel from the Indian Navy, Army, and Air Force. He called it a significant initiative for skill development and employment, commending CRISP’s efforts in this direction.
During his visit, the minister interacted with CRISP trainees and learned about their experiences. He appreciated CRISP’s pivotal role in empowering soldiers and youth with technical and practical skills, fostering self-reliance. He also encouraged linking CRISP’s skill development programs with Madhya Pradesh government schemes.
Additionally, the minister held an extensive discussion with Rajeev Tripathi, Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi Technological University, and senior CRISP officials. He proposed incorporating CRISP’s training model into the university curriculum to provide students with a robust foundation in practical training.
He emphasized organizing capacity-building programs for polytechnic and engineering faculty to equip educators with the latest technical and practical knowledge. Furthermore, he stressed the need for summer employment guidance camps for polytechnic and engineering students.
The minister suggested conducting district-wise surveys to enhance CRISP’s efforts in providing two-wheeler and four-wheeler mechanic training. He also urged department heads to organize alumni meets to learn from the experiences of past trainees.
On this occasion, CRISP’s Managing Director, Srikant Patil, shared detailed insights about CRISP’s initiatives and highlighted its significant contributions to education, training, and skill development over the past 27 years.
Senior officials from CRISP, including Director Amol Vaidya, Chief Marketing Officer Rajesh Maheshwari, and Senior Marketing Manager Faisal Jafri, were present. They assured the minister that steps would be taken to implement his suggestions.
