CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: President Droupadi Murmu stated that India has emerged as a strong bridge between developed and developing nations while amplifying the voice of the Global South on international platforms. Addressing a gathering, she emphasized that India’s foreign policy is rooted in inclusivity, cooperation, and shared growth, reflecting the aspirations of developing countries across Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
President Murmu highlighted that India’s leadership in forums such as the G20, BRICS, and the United Nations has helped bring Global South issues—such as climate justice, sustainable development, food security, and equitable access to technology—into global decision-making processes. She noted that India’s development model, democratic values, and people-centric governance have earned global trust and credibility.
She further underlined that India’s humanitarian assistance, digital public infrastructure initiatives, and capacity-building programs have strengthened South-South cooperation. According to the President, India does not seek dominance but partnership, acting as a voice for nations that have historically been underrepresented in global governance structures.
Murmu asserted that India will continue to play a constructive role in shaping a fairer, more balanced global order. Her remarks reaffirm India’s commitment to being a reliable partner and a bridge that connects the aspirations of the Global South with global policymaking.
