CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Several leading management institutes from India have found a place in the QS Global MBA Rankings 2027, but no Indian business school has made it into the world’s top 50 this time. The new QS rankings were released on September 16, 2026, assessing more than 400 full-time MBA programmes across 65 countries and territories.
From India, IIM Bangalore ranked the highest, securing joint 64th place. It was followed by IIM Ahmedabad at joint 70th and IIM Calcutta at 95th. Compared with the previous edition, all three institutes recorded a decline in their global rankings.
In the rankings, IIM Kozhikode and IIM Indore were placed in the 201-250 band. IIM Lucknow and Woxsen School of Business were included in the 251-300 band. OP Jindal Global University also featured in the global list.
Globally, MIT Sloan School of Management secured the first position. It was followed by Harvard Business School, Stanford Graduate School of Business and Wharton School in the top four. The QS rankings consider parameters such as employability, return on investment, entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes, thought leadership and diversity.
