CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), India strongly criticized Pakistan for its repeated attempts to internationalize the Kashmir issue. In a bold and firm response, India reiterated that “Kashmir was, is, and will always be an integral part of India.” The Indian representative dismissed Pakistan’s allegations as baseless and accused it of harboring terrorism while trying to deflect attention from its internal crises.
The speech came after Pakistan once again raised the Kashmir dispute on an international platform, ignoring India’s repeated calls to resolve issues bilaterally under the Shimla Agreement and Lahore Declaration. India also highlighted Pakistan’s poor human rights record, particularly in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh, where minorities face persecution.
India’s representative at the UNGA underscored that Pakistan’s rhetoric on Kashmir is nothing but a desperate attempt to mislead the global community. The response was met with strong support from Indian diplomats and echoed India’s long-standing position on Jammu and Kashmir.
This latest exchange at the UNGA showcases India’s unwavering stand against Pakistan’s propaganda and reaffirms that Kashmir is an inseparable part of India. The speech also emphasized India’s commitment to peace, stability, and development in the region while urging Pakistan to focus on addressing its internal challenges rather than interfering in India’s sovereign matters.
