CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Indian junior women’s hockey team produced a commanding performance against Pakistan in the quarter-final of the 2026 Women’s Junior Asia Cup, registering a one-sided 19-0 victory. In the match played in Moqi, China, the Indian players adopted an aggressive approach from the start and gave Pakistan no chance to make a comeback. With this win, India sealed a place in the tournament’s semi-finals.

India began the scoring in the seventh minute. By the end of the first half, the Indian team had taken a 10-0 lead. In the second half too, the Indian players continued their attacking game and struck nine more goals to make the score 19-0. Pooja Malik scored a brilliant hat-trick, while Roshni Aind, Sanika Chandrakant Mane, Madhu Sidar and Supriya scored two goals each. Earlier in the tournament’s pool stage, India had topped the group after defeating South Korea, Malaysia and Japan, while the match against China ended in a goalless draw. India will now face the winner of the match between South Korea and Malaysia in the semi-final. India are aiming to win the title for the third consecutive time.
