CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Indian shooters continued their strong performance at the Asian Games 2026, with India winning silver in the men’s 10m air rifle team event on Monday to claim its third medal of the Games. The Indian team of Rudrankksh Patil, Parth Mane and Himanshu Dhillon scored a total of 1890.1 points. China won the gold medal with 1899.0 points, while South Korea took bronze. The Indian team delivered a strong performance but finished 8.9 points behind China. With this medal, all three of India’s medals so far have come from shooting.
India also found success in the individual competition alongside the team event. Rudrankksh Patil finished third with 631.8 points and Himanshu Dhillon seventh with 630.0 points to qualify for the individual final. Parth Mane, with 628.3 points, could not make it to the individual final. Earlier, on September 20, Elavenil Valarivan, Sonam Uttam Maskar and Vidarsa Vinod won silver in the women’s 10m air rifle team event. Elavenil later also won silver in the individual event.
