Bhopal. Indian Railways is actively participating in Special Campaign 6. As the campaign nears its conclusion, Indian Railways has completed several key targets. These include important work related to cleanliness, scrap disposal, e-waste management, disposal of pending matters and simplification of processes, all of which are playing an important role in the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters, SCPM-6.

As a major public-centric initiative, Rail Jan Samvad was organised at 5,884 railway stations across the country to interact directly with passengers and receive their feedback and suggestions on cleanliness, passenger facilities and service delivery. Railway Board Chairman and CEO Satish Kumar interacted with stakeholders in New Delhi, while the DARPG secretary participated in a programme at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai.

The initiative provided an opportunity to identify local issues and take appropriate follow-up action to improve passenger services. As the Special Campaign draws to a close, Indian Railways is focusing on further strengthening its achievements and sustaining the best practices adopted during the campaign. Emphasis is being placed on cleanliness, better management of resources, timely disposal of pending matters and improved passenger services.
