CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Indian State Bank and Railways Jointly Conduct Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign 2025 at Bhopal Railway Station

Under the “Swachhta Hi Seva” campaign initiated by the Central Government, officers and employees of Indian State Bank (SBI) collaborated with the Indian Railways to conduct a large-scale cleanliness drive at Bhopal Junction Railway Station. Along with cleaning the station premises, SBI provided 4 wheelchairs free of charge for passenger convenience as part of its social service banking initiative.

The program was inaugurated by Shri Chandrashekhar Sharma, Deputy Managing Director of SBI; Prabhash Kumar Subudhi, Chief General Manager of Bhopal Circle; and Abhiram Khare, Assistant DRM, along with Shri Yogendra Baghel from Indian Railways.

Shri Chandrashekhar Sharma emphasized:

“Cleanliness is not just a campaign, but a social responsibility and moral duty. Indian State Bank is always committed to serving society and public welfare. Through this joint initiative, the Government of India’s two key organizations are sending a strong message across the state.”

Abhiram Khare, Assistant DRM, representing Indian Railways, also addressed the audience, saying:

“This joint effort by SBI and Indian Railways is a commendable step toward making the station cleaner and more convenient for passengers.”

The event was attended by senior officials from both organizations. From Indian Railways, the officials present included Shri Yogendra Baghel, Shri Saurabh Kataria, Shri Naval Agrawal, and Shri B.L. Meena. From Indian State Bank, senior officials included Shri Kundan Jyoti, Shri Omkar Nath Chaudhary, Shri Manoj Kumar, and Shri Shubhkanta Kanungo.

With the combined efforts of Indian Railways and SBI, the campaign was successfully conducted as an inspiring and exemplary initiative. Attendees described the program as a motivational step in the interest of society and the nation.
