CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Term-End Examinations will commence from 12 June 2025 and conclude on 19 July 2025. Spanning over 32 days, these examinations will be conducted for undergraduate, postgraduate, certificate, diploma, and PG diploma programs. The exams will be held in two shifts: the first shift from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and the second shift from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
According to Senior Regional Director Dr. Umesh Chandra Pandey of IGNOU’s Regional Centre Bhopal, the June term-end exams will be conducted at 17 exam centers under the Bhopal region. Around 7,500 candidates will appear for exams in approximately 1,800 courses under 300 programs of IGNOU.
Special exam centers have also been established in the central jails of Ujjain, Hoshangabad, Indore, and Bhopal, allowing incarcerated students enrolled in IGNOU to appear for exams.
In Bhopal, two exam centers have been set up at Motilal Nehru Science College and Career College, while three centers are established in Indore. Exams will also be held in Gwalior, Mandsaur, Ujjain, Jhabua, Shivpuri, Mhow, Khandwa, and Narmadapuram.
Written practical exams for Library Science will be conducted in Bhopal and Gwalior, while BCA/MCA and other computer-related practical exams will be held separately, with a schedule to be announced soon.
Dr. Pandey also mentioned that orientation and detailed instructions have been provided to all exam superintendents to ensure smooth conduct of exams. The Commissionerate of Higher Education, Madhya Pradesh, has also issued directions for efficient administration of the exams.
Deputy Director Dr. Anshuman Upadhyay informed that hall tickets for eligible students have been uploaded on the Samarth Portal, and candidates can download them. Students must carry their IGNOU-issued ID cards to the exam centers. If unavailable, any government-issued valid photo ID will be accepted for entry.
No candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam without a valid photo ID. Detailed instructions are provided on the hall tickets, and all candidates are advised to read them carefully. Dr. Upadhyay further added that exam center heads have been instructed to inform students regularly during the exams that answers must be written in the medium of instruction of the course. However, candidates have the freedom to write in Hindi if desired.
Mobile phones and digital devices are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
