CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Scope Global Skills University (SGSU) organised a special expert lecture to connect students with the real requirements of the industry. The session, held on the theme “Empowering Pharmacy Students Through Real World Skills”, was addressed by Krishnendu Mishra, founder and director of Pharma Career Bridge, as the keynote speaker.

During the expert lecture, Krishnendu Mishra discussed in detail the rapidly changing landscape of the pharmaceutical industry, new employment opportunities, industry expectations and the practical skills required for career building. He said academic knowledge alone is not sufficient today, and students also need to develop an understanding of industry functioning, technical competence, communication skills and a professional outlook. He encouraged students to prepare themselves in line with the current needs of the industry and to develop a habit of continuous learning.

During the programme, students interacted with the expert on various career options, employment prospects in the pharma industry, higher education, research and skill development. The interactive session gave students an opportunity to learn from real industry experiences and prepare themselves for future challenges.

On the occasion, Scope Global Skills University Chancellor Dr. Siddharth Chaturvedi said, “Connecting today’s education with the needs of industry is the greatest requirement of the time. Such expert lectures play an important role in helping students understand real workplace expectations and prepare for successful careers.”

Scope Global Skills University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vijay Singh said, “Today’s pharmaceutical industry is changing rapidly, and accordingly it is extremely necessary to develop technical competence, practical knowledge and an understanding of industry functioning among students. The university’s effort is to provide every student with adequate opportunities, along with classroom teaching, to learn from industry experts, understand real problems and develop professional skills. Such expert lectures not only increase students’ confidence but also prepare them for better employment and research opportunities.”

University Registrar Dr. Sitesh Kumar Sinha said, “Scope Global Skills University is working on an industry-integrated and skill-based education model, in which regular expert lectures, internships, industrial visits and practical training are given special importance along with the curriculum. Our objective is not only to make students academically capable, but to make them fully industry-ready, self-reliant and future-ready skilled professionals.”
