CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: “Sports Minister’s Initiative: 260 Children Visited Tatyatoppe Stadium”
Under the initiative of Sports Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, an effort to connect school children, who represent the new generation, with sports has begun with a visit to Tatyatoppe Stadium.
It is noteworthy that during a departmental review meeting, the Sports Minister instructed to make efforts to connect school children with sports. Following the minister’s directives, this campaign has been formally launched.
A group of 110 students from Chetanya Techno School, Kattara Hills, along with Principal Sonia Rai and teachers, visited Tatyatoppe Stadium to explore the sports facilities provided by the department. Additionally, 150 students from the Central School also toured the stadium. In total, 260 young school children explored the sports facilities at the stadium.
The Sports Minister addressed the children from Chetanya Techno School and inquired about their knowledge of sports. The children enthusiastically praised the minister’s efforts to promote sports and appreciated the facilities available at the stadium. The excitement among the children was palpable as they took numerous photos with the minister. The minister encouraged the children and participated in a selfie campaign supporting the “Cheer for India” initiative.
It is important to mention that the Summer Olympics will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11, 2024. India will be represented by 117 athletes in this event. Two athletes from Madhya Pradesh, Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar (shooting) and Vivek Sagar Prasad (hockey), will represent the country. The minister also directed the organization of similar events across the state to support the Government of India’s “Cheer for India” campaign.
