CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: To help students address real-world problems, advance projects based on emerging technologies, and convert innovative ideas into startups, a two-day Srijan event is being organized at the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal, under the Innovate MP Mission, in joint collaboration with the Higher Education Department and the Technical Education Department of the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
The inauguration of this two-day event will be graced by Inder Singh Parmar, Minister of Higher Education, Technical Education, and AYUSH, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The ceremony will be presided over by Prof. Rajeev Tripathi, Vice-Chancellor of RGPV. Sharing this information, University Registrar Mohan Sen stated that the event aims to promote research-based education in technical and higher educational institutions and to ensure the role of young scientists in realizing the vision of Developed India 2047.
As part of the Srijan program, RGPV invited students from engineering and polytechnic colleges, as well as colleges affiliated with the Higher Education Department, to submit working models and demonstrative or simulation-based projects in six categories:
Rural Technology
Clean & Green Energy
Industry 4.0 / 5.0
Waste Management
Life Sciences / Health Sciences
Smart Education
According to Registrar Mohan Sen, the university has received 1,627 entries in the form of projects, models, and posters. The distribution includes:
222 in Rural Technology
214 in Clean & Green Energy
435 in Industry 4.0 / 5.0
138 in Waste Management
290 in Health and Life Sciences
328 in Smart Education
Out of these, the top 150 projects will be showcased during the Srijan event on May 10 and 11 at the university campus. A total of 36 awards will be given across the six categories for first, second, and third positions, along with 12 consolation prizes and a special Jury Award for Women Empowerment.
Selected projects under the Innovate MP Mission will receive technical and financial support for intellectual property and patent filing, skill development training for industry, high-speed internet for researchers, access to Thinking Zones, and support for prototype development and technology transfer.
Students from schools and colleges across the Bhopal Division are invited to visit the project exhibition on May 11 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
