CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under Innovation 2026 organized at Scope Global Skills University (SGSU), eight competitions across various fields were conducted. Students from different cities and educational institutions across the state enthusiastically participated, showcasing their creativity, technical skills, and innovative capabilities. The purpose of the event was to encourage youth in the fields of technology, entrepreneurship, and creativity.
The first competition, InnoMaker – Product Hackathon, featured students presenting their innovation-based projects and technical models. Shantanu Kushwaha and Priyanjali from SIRT presented a solar energy-based smart irrigation system model, which tests the soil to determine the required amount of water for crops. Rahul Gupta and his team developed an automated fire suppression system for four-wheeler vehicles, which immediately triggers alarms and warning signals in case of smoke. Meanwhile, Lokesh Patel’s team created a device that automatically cuts off power when electrical wires come into contact with water.
The competition showcased over 15 innovative models, including drone technology, solar devices, multi-disaster warning systems, metal-cutting machines, automated river-lake cleaning equipment, wireless charging stations for electric vehicles, and health monitoring applications.
Additionally, Controller Clash – eSports Battleground (BGMI) saw participation from 20 squads and 80 players. Crew Clash – Group Dance Championship and Solo Spotlight – Dance Championship featured stunning performances by participants. In PlanX – The Ultimate Business Plan Battle, 18 startup ideas were presented, including innovations such as Edible Cutlery, AI Tailor, Kisan Dehayak, and Skillsink Hub.
Chancellor Siddharth Chaturvedi stated that such platforms provide students the opportunity to showcase their talent and entrepreneurial thinking. Vice-Chancellor Vijay Singh and Registrar Sitesh Kumar Sinha added that the students’ innovation and technical thinking infused the entire environment with energy and enthusiasm.
