Before paddy procurement begins in Chhattisgarh, the administration is preparing to start the process of checking the preparedness of procurement centres. A total of 202 paddy procurement centres in the state will be inspected on the basis of 35 points. The purpose of this check is to streamline the procurement system and ensure the availability of necessary facilities at the centres.
During the inspection, the status of resources available at the centres, storage arrangements, weighing equipment and necessary facilities for farmers will be reviewed. Along with this, procurement-related arrangements and required preparations will also be checked. The preparedness of each centre will be assessed on the basis of the 35-point list.
To ensure that farmers do not face any difficulty during paddy procurement, it is important to organise the arrangements at the centres in advance. On the basis of shortcomings found during the inspection, the need for improvements at the concerned centres can be determined. Before the procurement process begins, this check will play an important role in assessing the preparedness of the system.
