CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: “Under the guidance of AIIMS Bhopal’s Executive Director Ajay Singh, the Department of Pharmacology successfully organized the eighth edition of PharmQuest – Inter-College Pharmacology Quiz. This esteemed competition was held to provide a platform for MBBS students from medical colleges across India and all AIIMS institutions to showcase their knowledge and skills in pharmacology. The quiz competition began with an online screening round, where a total of 40 participants from medical colleges nationwide, divided into 20 teams, took part.
After the preliminary round, four finalist teams were selected: AIIMS Bhopal, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College Raipur, Chhindwara Institute of Medical Sciences, Chhindwara, and Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal. The final quiz comprised eight thrilling rounds based on books, scientists, genes, anagrams, true/false, ADR (adverse drug reactions), movies, and postage stamps, followed by a rapid-fire round, the most exciting part of the quiz. All teams also participated in a play-along round. The competition concluded with a highly competitive final, where Arushi Agarwal and Manuj Chaturvedi (Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal) secured first place.
On this occasion, Prof. Singh praised the event, stating, ‘PharmQuest 2024 is an excellent platform where our future doctors challenge themselves and showcase their intellectual prowess in the field of pharmacology. The enthusiasm and talent displayed in the competition are a testament to the growing interest among students in pharmacology. I congratulate all winners and participants for their hard work and dedication.’ He added, ‘The continued success of PharmQuest reflects AIIMS Bhopal’s commitment to academic excellence and providing students with opportunities to excel in various medical fields.
