CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: An inter-state meeting on the policy document for the National AYUSH Mission was successfully held in Bhopal under the leadership of Madhya Pradesh. The meeting saw the participation of senior officials from the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, along with top officials from the AYUSH departments of the respective states.

The main objectives of the meeting were to integrate AYUSH medicine into the mainstream healthcare system, provide high-quality AYUSH medical services to the general public, strengthen the AYUSH infrastructure, and ensure the availability of highly qualified human resources. Another key aim was to ensure AYUSH’s significant contribution towards the vision of a developed India by 2047.

The Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, selected the sub-theme “National AYUSH Mission and Capacity Building in States.” Madhya Pradesh and Sikkim have been designated as the nodal states for reviewing organizational structure, strengthening human resources, and capacity building. Other member states of the working group include Bihar, Delhi, Goa, and Nagaland.

It is noteworthy that during a meeting chaired by the Cabinet Secretary of the Government of India in April, NITI Aayog selected six key topics for discussion in upcoming national-level summits across states and union territories. “National AYUSH Mission and Capacity Building in States” was selected as one of these six topics.

Senior officials who attended the working group meeting included A. Raghu from the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India; R. Uma Maheshwari, Commissioner of AYUSH, Madhya Pradesh; Ranjana Devda, Deputy Secretary of AYUSH; Yogita Munjal, Director of AYUSH, Delhi; and representatives from other participating states.
