CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Every year, International Moon Day is celebrated to raise awareness about the exploration and utilization of resources on our closest celestial neighbor, the Moon. On this occasion, the Regional Science Centre in Bhopal organized a hands-on workshop titled “Are We Ready to Establish a Colony on the Moon?” and screened a film titled “Mysteries and Wonders of the Moon.”

During the workshop, students showcased an ambitious model of a human colony on the Moon and developed various kits that helped them view the Moon’s surface (its terrain and craters) in 3D using anaglyph technology. Participants were provided with all the necessary materials, guidance, and support, along with ready-to-use kits for home use.

A total of 27 students and teachers participated in the hands-on workshop, and 75 students attended the film screening. On this occasion, important information about lunar research and its utilization was shared, inspiring the scientific community to make further advancements.
