CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of International Yoga Day, the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, through the National Institute of Naturopathy, Pune, is organizing various activities across the country to make yoga attractive, engaging, accessible, and delightful for all.

As part of this initiative, Sant Hirdaram Medical College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences for Women has been entrusted with organizing various programs specifically for the youth. Under this, a Common Yoga Protocol session will be held on June 13, 2025, at Mithi Gobindram Public School, where approximately 300 girl students will participate.

The special guest of the event will be retired administrative officer Sabhajeet Yadav, and the chief guest will be Rajeev Mishra, Deputy Director, AYUSH Department. The students will also present a musical yoga performance during the program.

Additionally, under the college’s “Yoga Unplugged” activity, several youth-centered initiatives will be conducted in schools and colleges, including:

Creation of yoga-themed videos (reels)

Group yoga performances like Yoga Pyramid and musical yoga

An online essay competition on the theme “Healing of Body-Mind-Soul Through Yoga”

Furthermore, on June 16, 2025, a special workshop focused on Yoga and Meditation will be conducted for the students by Professor Varun Malhotra of AIIMS Bhopal. On the same day, rangoli and poster competitions will also be held for the students.

To assess students’ knowledge of yoga, a quiz competition will be organized on June 14, followed by colorful cultural performances based on yoga in the college’s grand auditorium.

The college principal, Professor (Dr.) Ankesh Singh, has invited enthusiastic participation from a large number of youth and the general public in this celebration.
