CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the guidance of Executive Director Dr. Ajay Singh, the Department of Radiology and Imaging at AIIMS Bhopal, in collaboration with IRIA (MP) Bhopal City Chapter, successfully organized the 40th IRIA MP-State Conference 2024.
The two-day conference focused on Gynecological and Obstetric Imaging and Abdominal Imaging. It was chaired by Professor Rajesh Malik (Head, Department of Radiology) with Dr. Radha S. Gupta (Additional Professor, Department of Radiology) serving as the Secretary.
Key Highlights of Day One
The first day featured a series of educational sessions on cutting-edge topics in Abdominal Imaging and Obstetric & Gynecological Imaging. Experts shared insights into the latest advancements in radiology.
This was followed by special workshops on Image-Guided Biopsy Techniques and Obstetric Doppler Techniques, offering participants hands-on practical knowledge.
Exciting Activities on Day Two
The second day included engaging activities where resident doctors presented over 30 research papers and 75 e-posters. A major highlight of the day was the Inter-College Radiology Resident Quiz, where six teams from various hospitals in Madhya Pradesh participated. The quiz provided an excellent platform for healthy competition and intellectual discussions.
Prestigious Ram Rishi Lecture
Prior to the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Raju Sharma, Head of the Department of Radiodiagnosis at AIIMS Delhi, delivered the esteemed Ram Rishi Lecture.
Following the lecture, Dr. Sharma was honored by Executive Director Dr. Ajay Singh, who lauded the conference’s activities and emphasized the importance of promoting a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Dr. Singh remarked, “The 40th IRIA MP-State Conference has proven to be a remarkable platform for knowledge and research exchange, offering invaluable educational experiences for resident doctors and faculty members alike.”
Participation and Industry Engagement
The event witnessed active participation from over 190 delegates and 25 faculty members, who enthusiastically engaged in the educational sessions and workshops. The conference also saw significant involvement from the industry, with companies showcasing their advanced machines to the delegates.
Cultural Program and Closing Ceremony
The conference concluded with a cultural program that fostered camaraderie and a sense of community among the radiology fraternity.
