CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Karnataka Special Investigation Team (SIT) is still hunting for outgoing Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna’s mother Bhavani Revanna who has moved the Karnataka High Court seeking anticipatory bail.

The investigators are set to produce Prajwal Revanna, who has been accused of raping and sexually harassing women, before a court on Thursday to seek extension of his custody. Obscene videos allegedly recorded by the JDS scion was leaked by his former driver Karthik who handed over pen drives and CDs containing the clips to BJP leader G. Devarajegowda.

On the previous day, he was taken to Bengaluru’s Bowring Hospital for a medical examination.

Bhavani’s alleged role in kidnapping

Earlier, the Special Court of Sessions denied anticipatory bail to Bhavani, pointing out that prima facie, the case shows that she has played a specific overt act in kidnapping one of the women allegedly sexually abused by her son.

The SIT’s Special Public Prosecutor B.N. Jagadeesh had told the special court that “the act of the petitioner [Bhavani] in helping her son commit sexual abuse and explout several women and record the sexual act would shake the collective conscience of not only the people in the region, but also that of the entire country since the petitioner herself has a political clout and is also financially sound,” according to a report by The Hindu.
