CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has expressed happiness over the safe return of NASA-affiliated Indian-origin astronaut Sunita Williams to Earth. ISRO took to X this morning and wrote, “Welcome back, Sunita Williams!”
ISRO stated that her safe return after an extended mission is a remarkable achievement and a testament to NASA, SpaceX, and the United States’ commitment to space exploration. In its post, ISRO added, “Your (Sunita’s) perseverance and dedication will continue to inspire space enthusiasts worldwide.”
ISRO also shared a statement from its chairman in the X post. The statement read, “As the Secretary of DOS and Chairman of ISRO, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on behalf of my colleagues.” The post further mentioned, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India is working towards becoming a developed nation. We would like to utilize your expertise in space exploration.”
Additionally, Union Minister Jitendra Singh also commented on Sunita Williams’ return, posting on X:
“This is a moment of glory, pride, and relief! The entire world has come together to celebrate the safe return of this remarkable daughter of India, who has etched her name in history for her courage, determination, and resilience in enduring the uncertainties of space.”
