CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: More than two decades after this beloved musical comedy released, the lead star Jack Black has said that he’s ready to reprise the role of the energetic musician Dewey Finn. Actor-comedian Black said, “I wish there’d be a School Of Rock 2 Electric Boogaloo,” giving a nod to the title of the 1984 sequel to Breakin’, Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo.
School of Rock follows the story of Finn, a musician who was kicked out of his rock band and goes on to become a substitute music teacher in an uptight private elementary school. The film starred Mike White, Joan Cusack, Adam Pascal, Lucas Papaelias, Chris Stack, Sarah Silverman and Miranda Cosgrove.
Black also said that he would like White, the writer of the 2003 film to write the script for the sequel. “And we’d have to have Mike White back in the saddle, but he’s real busy right now with [The] White Lotus, the best show on TV,” Black said. Black is currently promoting Kung Fu Panda 4.
