CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Popular South Indian actor Jagapathi Babu has yet to receive his remuneration for a Telugu film the actor did a year ago.
Jagapathi Babu, popular for his villain roles in south Indian films, hopes to get the money as soon as possible and has not filed a complaint against the production house, according to media reports.
The payment to the actor was delayed because the production house is reportedly facing a fund crunch.
The said production house has been struggling as it delivered a few flop films. “Tollywood producers have to be careful with payments since it could dent their image and actors would show reluctance if such dues crop up,” Deccan Chronicle quoted a source as saying.
Recently, Jagapathi Babu revealed that he was cheated by a real estate company. Taking to social media, he had said, “Frauds are happening more in real estate. Telangana CM Revanth Reddy also warned in this regard. Recently I acted in a real estate ad. They cheated me too.”
Jagapathi Babu was last seen in the Telugu romantic action drama The Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda. His upcoming projects include Mr. Bachchan and Pushpa 2: The Rule.
