CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Audience anticipation has grown around Ajay Devgn’s much-awaited film ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’. Jaideep Ahlawat’s entry in the film’s trailer has drawn the most attention. Along with this, comparisons have also begun with Akshaye Khanna, who played a police officer in the previous film. However, Ajay Devgn and Jaideep Ahlawat have clarified that Jaideep is not replacing Akshaye Khanna.

Jaideep plays SP Crime Branch Rajveer Singh Tomar in the film. According to the actor, director Abhishek Pathak had presented the role from the beginning as an entirely new character. Rajveer has his own story, relationships and motives. Therefore, he did not feel the pressure of Akshaye Khanna’s previous role.

According to Ajay Devgn, in the film the police fail to solve the earlier mystery, after which the Crime Branch enters the story. This makes the threat facing Vijay Salgaonkar even bigger. Devgn also said that the film’s story is completely new and was developed over nearly two and a half years.
