Released in theatres on October 15, 2026, the film has earned strongly in the domestic market as well as at the overseas box office. It is now eyeing the Rs 500 crore global mark.
Earnings rose on the fourth day as well. According to early figures from box office tracker Sacnilk, “Jailer 2” collected around Rs 55.85 crore net in India on Sunday, October 18. With this, the film’s total domestic net collection reached Rs 199.90 crore, while its domestic gross stood at Rs 234.25 crore. “Jailer 2” has overtaken “Dhurandhar 2” in the overseas market. On the strength of its strong overseas start, the film has claimed the record for the biggest overseas opening among Indian films of 2026. In this respect, it has moved ahead of Ranveer Singh’s film “Dhurandhar 2”. However, the comparison relates to opening earnings in the overseas market, not to the total worldwide collections of the two films.
Expectations remain high from Rajinikanth’s film. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, “Jailer 2” features Rajinikanth along with Mohanlal and several other actors. Both domestic and overseas markets have played an important role in the film’s earnings. It remains to be seen how quickly the film crosses the Rs 500 crore mark in the coming days and whether it can come close to the total earnings of its first part, “Jailer”. These box office figures are based on early industry estimates and may change according to different trackers.
