CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Inauguration of the “Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan” began with the cleaning of the Kaliyasot River, aimed at water conservation and sanitation. A large number of public representatives, administrative officials, and local citizens participated in the initiative.

The program was attended by Mayor Malti Rai, Municipal Corporation President Kishan Suryavanshi, Ravindra Yati, Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh, Municipal Commissioner Harendra Narayan, along with officials and employees of the Municipal Corporation and representatives of various social organizations.

Mayor Malti Rai stated, “The Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan is not just about cleaning water bodies; it is also a public awareness campaign. We must all ensure that our lakes, wells, and stepwells remain clean and preserved. The Municipal Corporation is continuously working in this direction, and the initiative will be accelerated through public participation.”

Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh, in his address, said, “Water conservation is not a one-day effort; it requires continuous dedication. Through this campaign, we will not only clean the river but also raise awareness among people about the importance of water and its conservation.”

At the end of the program, the attending representatives, officials, and citizens took a cleanliness pledge and resolved to actively participate in the protection of water sources in the future.
