CNN Central News & Network – ITDC India Express / ITDC News Bhopal:Principal Secretary of the Public Health Engineering Department, P. Narhari, issued clear instructions during the review meeting of the Jal Jeevan Mission held in the Commissioner’s conference room. He emphasized ensuring tap water supply to every household in the state. He stated that this mission is among the top priorities of the state government and requires coordinated efforts between the Rural Development and Public Health Engineering Departments for successful implementation.

Considering the summer season, he directed all departments to ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply across all regions. Narhari instructed the District Panchayat CEOs of Bhopal, Sehore, and Vidisha to complete, with quality, the work related to functional household tap connections, single tap water schemes, and road restoration under the Jal Jeevan Mission by June. He further directed that all remaining road restoration work must be completed before the monsoon, under any circumstances. He firmly stated that negligence will not be tolerated, and if needed, disciplinary actions will be taken.

The Principal Secretary emphasized that the impact of departmental work must be visible at the grassroots level. He said the success of the Jal Jeevan Mission is a shared responsibility, and every officer must actively and sincerely fulfill their duties.

The meeting was attended by Bhopal Division Commissioner Sanjeev Singh, Chief Manager of Jal Nigam KVS Chaudhary, Chief Engineer KK Sonagariya, Chief General Manager PK Raghuvanshi, and other concerned officials. During the meeting, Chief Manager Chaudhary presented a PowerPoint presentation on the group water supply schemes operating in the districts of Bhopal, Sehore, and Vidisha.
