CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Heartfulness Institute’s Meditation Yoga Ashram in Bhopal organized the “Jan Hriday Youth Workshop” today, which saw enthusiastic participation from hundreds of young individuals. The workshop was divided into two groups—one for youth aged 14 to 18 years and the other for those aged 15 to 25 years.
Youth-Driven Activities
A unique aspect of the program was that the youth themselves designed the activities based on their needs. These included group discussions on career management and life skills, various games, and meditation sessions.
Emphasis on the Importance of Meditation
The program concluded with a meditation session that highlighted the positive impact of meditation on mental health. Participants were taught how meditation can help them navigate challenging times and why self-care through meditation is essential.
Special Topics and Book Distribution
Discussions were held on critical topics such as de-addiction and cybercrime, and books on these subjects were distributed to raise awareness among the participants.
Coordination and Support
The program was conducted by Brother Gautam Nandi, Sister Ketki, and Sister Preeti, with support from a dedicated team of volunteers and trainers. Volunteers included Geetika, Sister Rajni, Sister Madhulika, Jai, Sandeep, Nimesh, Vijay Malviya, Gautam Nandi, and Rajesh Sharma, among others.
Leadership and Organization
The workshop was led by the Heartfulness Kolar team, comprising 35 trainers and 40 volunteers. It ran from 9 AM to 6 PM and proved to be an inspiring event for the youth.
Objective of the Workshop
This workshop was a commendable effort to promote the physical, mental, and social development of young individuals.
