CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A video of Samajwadi Party MP and actor Jaya Bachchan went viral on social media during the INDIA bloc’s protest against the Election Commission in Delhi. In the video, a reporter is seen trying to ask her a question about a poster linked to the protest. During the exchange, Jaya Bachchan is seen pushing the reporter’s microphone back and refusing to answer the question.

According to reports, the journalist was asking Jaya Bachchan about a poster being held by Trinamool Congress MP Derek O’Brien. In response, Jaya Bachchan allegedly said the matter should not be distorted. After the video surfaced, it drew varied reactions on social media. BJP MP and actor Kangana Ranaut then took a swipe at Jaya Bachchan. Referring to the viral video, Kangana wrote on social media that when someone sits on a protest to make a point and is asked what exactly she wants to say, the answer is: “I will not tell.” The episode came to light when opposition MPs were protesting over demands including the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and issues related to the electoral process. The BJP has questioned the opposition’s protest, while the opposition has described its demands as a democratic right.
