CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Popular Kollywood actor Jayam Ravi on Monday announced that he and his wife Aarti are separating after 15 years of being a married couple.
After much thought, reflections, and discussions, I have taken the difficult decision to proceed with the dissolution of my marriage with Aarti, the actor said in a heartfelt post.
Jayam Ravi said the decision was not made out of haste and added that it stems from personal reasons, and from the belief that this is best for both the parties involved.
The actor urged fans and others to respect the privacy of both him and Aarti and their family members and refrain from making any assumptions, rumors, or allegations.
Jayam Ravi said his priority remains the same, that of continuing to bring joy and entertainment through his movies.
“I am still and will always be your Jayam Ravi, who is cherished by all of you throughout my career and as an actor who is dedicated to my craft and commitment to showcase the best of my talent. Your constant support means the world to me and I am grateful for the love you have showered on me over the years,” the actor wrote.
Jayam Ravi was last seen in the Kollywood thriller Siren. His upcoming projects include Brother, a romantic comedy directed by M. Rajesh, and Kadhalika Neramillai, helmed by directed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi.
