CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: State Congress President Jitu Patwari participated in the Jai Samvidhan Samman Yatra held in Pal Kankaria village of Sanwer to honor Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

Addressing the yatra, Patwari said that those in power at the national and state levels are playing with the Constitution. Democracy is being murdered, and the Constitution crafted by Baba Saheb is under threat, along with reservations. He accused the BJP of disrespecting the Constitution across the country. BJP leaders, who hold constitutional positions after taking an oath on the Constitution, are themselves disrespecting it. Incidents of vandalizing statues of Dr. Ambedkar, tearing his pictures, and setting them on fire have been carried out by BJP leaders and workers. Patwari emphasized that Congress will not tolerate any insult to Dr. Ambedkar.

On this occasion, Congress leader Reena Borasi and other leaders also addressed the gathering.

In a separate statement, Patwari presented evidence regarding several Madhya Pradesh ministers and leaders being allotted plots by Trishul Company and questioned the land ownership of the state’s Deputy Chief Minister. He alleged that the Mohan Yadav government is deeply immersed in corruption. He questioned whether Deputy CM Jagdish Devda received land in Central Park as a gift, whether tax evasion benefited Kunal Builders, and whether Urban Administration Minister Bhupendra Singh was granted a plot in Central Park during his tenure. He also alleged that permissions were granted by bypassing regulations. “Chief Minister, answer and provide accountability,” he demanded, adding that “the Chief Minister’s slip has become very expensive.”
