CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At Bhopal’s Kolar JK Hospital, the advanced medical technique EBUS (Endobronchial Ultrasound) procedure was successfully performed. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the hospital and is expected to provide a new direction in the diagnosis and treatment of lung-related diseases.

EBUS is a state-of-the-art, minimally invasive technique used for detailed examination of the lungs and nearby lymph nodes. Through this procedure, precise biopsies can be conducted without major surgery, enabling early and accurate diagnosis of serious conditions such as lung cancer, tuberculosis (TB), and sarcoidosis.

Currently, this facility is available at very few locations in Madhya Pradesh, making its availability in Bhopal even more significant. The hospital’s expert team of doctors—Dr. Gaurav Sahu, Dr. Shahzad Hussain, and Dr. Shivani Chaturvedi—successfully performed this complex procedure. Special support was provided by Dr. Ashok from the Anesthesia Department and Ankita Baghel from the Pathology Department, whose critical contributions were essential for this success.

With this achievement, patients from Bhopal and surrounding areas will no longer need to travel to major metropolitan cities for advanced diagnostics and treatment.
