CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A joint skill fair workshop on emergency medicine was organized by Kolar Road LN Medical College and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhopal. The primary objective of this workshop was to train doctors and paramedical staff for better management of emergency situations in the medical field.

The event was inaugurated by Madhya Pradesh’s Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare, Narendr Shivaji Patel. During the program, extensive discussions were held on the methods of providing medical care during emergencies.

The program was attended by the chief guest, Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare, Shivaji Patel, and the special guest, AIIMS Bhopal Director, Prof. Ajay Singh. Minister Patel emphasized that emergencies can arise at any moment in life, and timely treatment can save lives. He stated that training in emergency medical procedures should be provided to the general public so that they can offer initial treatment to victims in time, potentially saving lives. The workshop provided detailed information on identifying the early symptoms of emergencies and their treatment.

The necessity of providing prompt and appropriate medical services in accidents, natural disasters, and other emergency situations was highlighted. Doctors can preserve the invaluable lives of patients by providing such medical services. The Madhya Pradesh government is continually striving to strengthen health and medical services. To enhance emergency medical services, hospitals are being equipped with state-of-the-art tools, and training is being provided to doctors and related staff on their usage. This ensures effective treatment during emergencies. This initiative by LN Medical College is commendable, and I appreciate the efforts of all the doctors, researchers, and organizers involved.

Minister Patel expressed his hope that the training provided by senior and experienced doctors during the workshop would benefit all participants and contribute to strengthening emergency medical facilities. He stated that together, they aim to elevate Madhya Pradesh’s healthcare services to the top in the state.

The workshop included training under the guidance of senior doctors from LN Medical College, focusing on the importance of emergency medical procedures. The workshop also aimed to explain how emergency medical care can be provided to anyone in need at public places such as train stations, bus stands, or other public areas.

The program was attended by Ms. Poonam Chouksey, Vice Chairperson of the LNCT Group, and Mr. Dharmendra Gupta, Executive Director. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Shehtaz Khan, Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine, was present as a special guest. Senior doctors from the Emergency Department of LN Medical College conducted the training during the program. The event was also graced by Prof. Narendra Kumar Thapak, Vice-Chancellor of NLCT University, and Dr. Nalini Mishra, Dean of LN Medical College. The workshop was organized under the guidance of senior doctors from the Emergency Department of NL Medical College.
