CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication will organize its grand first Foundation Day ceremony on August 16 for the first time in its history. Asia’s first and India’s largest media university was established on August 16, 1990. The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. K.G. Suresh, said that after relocating to the new grand campus Makhanpuram Bishankhedi, the university is advancing on the path of progress through continuous innovations. He mentioned that at this historic moment, it is necessary to inform the students, teachers, officers, and staff about the university’s glorious history.

Prof. Suresh announced that the first Foundation Day lecture will be delivered by the renowned cultural worker Prof. Sachchidanand Joshi, Member Secretary of the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, New Delhi, and the first Registrar of the university. It is noteworthy that Dr. Joshi has also served twice as the Vice-Chancellor of Kushabhau Thakre University of Journalism and Mass Communication, Raipur. He will deliver his lecture on the topic “Developed India 2047 and the Role of Journalism” at the grand Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Auditorium of MCU. A cultural program will also be organized on this occasion.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Suresh mentioned that on this historic and significant occasion, the auditorium of the Department of Computer Applications will be named after the renowned mathematician “Srinivasa Ramanujan.” It is worth noting that for the first time, the Foundation Day has been included in the academic calendar of this academic session.
