CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Follow this timetable to crack JRF in your first attempt
For candidates preparing for UGC NET-JRF, the right timetable, regular practice and revision play an important role in moving towards success. To clear the examination in the first attempt, candidates should focus equally on both Paper 1 and Paper 2. According to experts, planned study for six to eight hours every day can help organise preparation. However, there is no guarantee of success in JRF, and the result depends on the candidate’s preparation and performance in the examination.
This is how to prepare a daily timetable: Spend three to four hours in the morning understanding difficult topics of your main subject, that is Paper 2, and preparing notes. After this, devote two to three hours to Paper 1 topics such as teaching aptitude, research aptitude, reasoning, mathematical ability and general awareness. In the evening, spend one hour solving previous question papers and analysing mistakes. Take a break of 10 to 15 minutes after every two hours of study.
Focus on revision and mock tests. Set a target of taking at least two mock tests every week. Practise previous years’ question papers to understand time management in the examination and the level of questions. Revise the topics studied each day and set aside extra time for weaker subjects.
JRF eligibility in the UGC NET examination depends on combined performance in both papers. Therefore, make regularity, the right strategy and practice the foundation of preparation.
