A Brainstorming Workshop on ‘Be a Karma Yogi’ was organized at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University, Bhopal, with active participation from faculty members and students from various departments. The workshop commenced with prayers and worship before Goddess Saraswati.

Workshop Highlights

A video presentation based on Swami Vivekananda’s book ‘Karma Yoga’ was screened, providing insights into his teachings on selfless action and duty.

In his address, Vice-Chancellor Khem Singh Daheriya explained the essence of Karma Yoga using examples from Lord Krishna and Swami Vivekananda. He emphasized that:

Following Lord Krishna’s principles is essential to becoming a true Karma Yogi.

Selfless actions (Nishkam Karma) always yield positive outcomes and should be performed without worrying about rewards.

By treating duty as a form of worship, both individual and national progress can be achieved.

Students also shared their experiences, and Education students discussed understanding Karma Yoga through Ramcharitmanas.

University Registrar Shailendra Kumar Jain encouraged students to embrace the philosophy of “Work is Worship.” He stressed that:
