CNN Central News & Network – ITDC India E-Press / ITDC News Bhopal:Kayastham, a leading organization of the Kayastha community in Madhya Pradesh, organized a two-day photo exhibition on the eve of World No Tobacco Day under the theme “Quit Addiction, Build Home.” The exhibition, held at the Dushyant Kumar Memorial Manuscript Museum in Shivaji Nagar, showcases the social evils of addiction through the expressive photographs of renowned photographer Sharad Srivastava.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Bhopal MP Alok Sharma, MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani, and former MP Alok Sanjar. Chief guest Alok Sharma stated that addiction affects not only the individual but also the entire family and society. He praised Kayastham’s initiative as an inspiring step towards raising social awareness.

MLA Sabnani appealed to the youth to stay away from addiction, calling addiction the biggest obstacle to societal development. Former MP Sanjar described the exhibition as an excellent example of social service.

During the program, Kayastham President Pralay Srivastava briefed about the organization’s activities and welcomed all the guests. The exhibition will conclude with an event by Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Patel, who will also honor five social workers engaged in addiction prevention.

This event is proving to be an important public awareness campaign towards creating a drug-free society.
