CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Mera Yuva Bharat, Raisen, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, organised the “Khelo India Dialogue” programme with enthusiasm at Rabindranath Tagore University, Raisen.
The programme featured special discussions on youth participation in sports, innovation, leadership capacity and the role of young people in building a drug-free developed India. RNTU Pro Chancellor Dr Aditi Chaturvedi Vats, chief guest MLA Surendra Patwa, Vice-Chancellor Dr Ravi Prakash Dubey, BJP district president Rakesh Sharma, My Bharat Deputy Director Monika Chaudhary, Registrar Dr Sangeeta Johri, DAC member Jeetu Thakur and other dignitaries attended the event.
During the programme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the gathering virtually. The Prime Minister encouraged young people to connect with sports, hone their talent, take forward innovation and creative ideas, and play an active role in building a developed India.
Pro Chancellor Dr Aditi Chaturvedi Vats said RNTU has been consistently performing well not only in education but also in the field of sports. She said the university’s students are showcasing their talent in various sporting disciplines and bringing recognition to the university and the region. She added that programmes such as “Khelo India Dialogue” connect young people with sports, innovation and positive thinking, while inspiring them to play an active role in building a developed India.
Registrar Dr Sangeeta Johri, while proposing the vote of thanks, said programmes like “Khelo India Dialogue” provide young people a platform to advance their talent and ideas. She expressed gratitude to the guests, players, youth and all members associated with the event, and said RNTU would continue to encourage such programmes in the future for the all-round development of students.
Young talents and players, including Shruti Yadav, Khushi Dabhade and Ritika Dahariya, who have achieved notable success in various sports disciplines, were honoured at the programme. The players shared their experiences with the youth and held a dialogue on personality development through sports, discipline, consistent hard work and the importance of achieving goals. Young influencer Neeraj Meena also participated in the youth dialogue and encouraged young people to adopt positive thinking and take an active role in social welfare.
On the occasion, information was provided on youth participation in the Viksit Bharat Young Leader Dialogue Quiz 2027, and an appeal was made to more and more young people to register on the My Bharat Portal and participate in the quiz. Youths were encouraged to showcase their talent, ideas and leadership abilities through digital platforms.
The pledge of “drug-free youth, developed India” was also given prominence during the programme. The youths present took an oath/pledge to stay away from drugs and spread awareness in society about de-addiction. They were urged not only to remain drug-free themselves but also to create awareness among their families, friends and society about the harmful effects of substance abuse.
National Service Scheme Madhya Pradesh State Liaison Officer Manoj Agnihotri, Rahul Singh Parihar of the National Service Scheme, Barkatullah University, and a large number of university students and young people were present at the programme. Held with the message of sports, innovation, youth leadership, de-addiction and developed India, the dialogue was inspirational and participatory for the youth. The objective of the programme was to connect young people with sports and creative activities and make them active participants in building a developed and self-reliant India.
