CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In line with the Khelo India Youth Games, the Khelo MP Youth Games 2024 will be organized at the divisional, district, and block levels. A meeting chaired by Additional Collector Prakash Nayak was held in the conference hall of the Collectorate office with sports association officials, coaches, and technical officials to discuss the event preparations.
During the meeting, the following schedule for selection competitions was announced:
Divisional-level selection: December 24 and 28
District-level selection: December 13 and 15
Block-level selection: December 5 and 11
Boys and girls under the age of 19 (as of December 31, 2024) are eligible to participate in the competition. The Khelo MP Youth Games will feature 19 sports: Athletics, Basketball, Badminton, Boxing, Football, Hockey, Judo, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Cricket, Mallakhamb, Swimming, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Table Tennis, Yogasana, Volleyball, Tennis, and Chess. Only players selected at the block level will qualify for district-level competitions.
It was also informed that applicants for the Khelo MP Youth Games 2024 can submit their application forms to the District Sports and Youth Welfare Office, located at 6 No. Bus Stop, Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal, during office hours by December 4, 2024.
