CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Kho-Kho Mayor Trophy Award Ceremony was successfully concluded at PM Shri Government New Girls Higher Secondary School, Tulsi Nagar, in the South-West Assembly Constituency.

The program began with the entire school community singing the national anthem in the presence of MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani, Zone Chairperson and Councillor Brujula Sachan, Councillor Aarti Aneja, and District Education Officer M.K. Ahirwar. The ceremony included the worship of Goddess Saraswati, followed by Saraswati Vandana, and a warm welcome for the guests. At the request of Principal Vandana Shukla, MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani unveiled the “PM Shri” plaque awarded to the school, enhancing the program’s prestige.

Award Distribution

Director Sabnani presented gold medals and a cheque of ₹12,000 to the Kho-Kho team of the winning school. In his address, Sabnani praised the enthusiasm, hard work, and discipline of the school’s students. He emphasized that disciplined players achieve success and advised students to pay special attention to exercise and nutrition in their daily routine. Highlighting the impact of the “Khelo India” initiative by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, he encouraged students to excel in sports and shape their futures. He also announced that students demonstrating outstanding performance in sports would continue to be rewarded.
