CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the capable guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Pankaj Tyagi and the supervision of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria, the Bhopal Division has been continuously working to provide better facilities to authorized passengers and increase railway revenue.
In this context, a “Kilabandi” ticket checking campaign was conducted at Bhopal and Sant Hirdaram Nagar railway stations with the assistance of 21 ticket checking staff. The campaign was carried out under the supervision of inspectors, with all exit routes from the station sealed to ensure that no passenger could leave the station premises without proper verification.
‘Kilabandi’ Ticket Checking Campaign

Bhopal: During the campaign, tickets of passengers on 20 trains passing through Bhopal were checked. During this inspection, 55 passengers were traveling without tickets, 25 passengers had invalid journey tickets, and 1 passenger was traveling with unbooked luggage. A total of ₹47,010 was collected as fare and fines.
Sant Hirdaram Nagar: During the campaign, tickets of passengers on 8 trains passing through Bhopal were checked. In this process, 35 passengers were traveling without tickets and 63 passengers had invalid tickets. A total of ₹53,970 was collected as fare and fines.

In total, Bhopal and Sant Hirdaram Nagar railway stations recorded 179 cases, generating ₹1,00,980 in railway revenue.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria stated that the campaign was organized to encourage passengers to comply with railway rules. Such campaigns not only generate revenue for the railways but also help ensure safe, orderly, and clean travel for passengers.
He appealed to passengers to always travel with a valid ticket. Travel on waitlisted e-tickets or platform tickets is prohibited. A valid journey ticket or platform ticket is required to enter the platform. Passengers can also book tickets themselves via the IRCTC website/app or the UTS app.
