CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Bhopal, Dr. Manish Sharma, conducted a surprise inspection of the Community Health Centre, Kolar. During the inspection, he visited the maternity ward, OPD, pediatric ward, Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre, and the Newborn Stabilization Unit.

During the visit, Dr. Sharma issued instructions stating that a pediatric specialist has now been posted at the hospital. Therefore, apart from day care services, children should be admitted to the pediatric ward for treatment. Referrals to higher institutions should be made only in cases of serious medical conditions.

Dr. Sharma also instructed the officer in charge of the facility to ensure that high-risk pregnant women are examined before their expected delivery date and that deliveries are conducted as per medical requirements. During the inspection, feedback was also taken from pregnant women regarding treatment and diet.

After the inspection, Dr. Sharma held a meeting with doctors and staff at the Community Health Centre and instructed that all staff, including doctors, must be present in the OPD at the निर्धारित (scheduled) time and mark their attendance exclusively through the Sarthak App. Salaries will be drawn based only on attendance recorded on the Sarthak App. He further directed that along with treatment, proper behaviour towards patients and their attendants must be ensured, and appropriate action will be taken in case of complaints.

Dr. Manish Sharma, CMHO Bhopal, stated that after the posting of a pediatric specialist at the hospital, treatment services in the pediatric unit are being further strengthened. Regular reviews will be conducted to ensure timely attendance and consistent monitoring of Sarthak App attendance at the facility.
