The Central Sanskrit University is playing a significant role in preserving, promoting, and providing training in Sanskrit along with India’s traditional art, culture, and heritage. By inviting scholars from across the country and organizing such programs, the university is actively contributing to the preservation of India’s traditional practices.

Prof. Ramakant Pandey, Director of the Bhopal Campus, emphasized that the university is committed to teaching traditional dance forms, music, folk theatre, and cultural elements to elevate the nation’s prestige. “For us, the nation and its culture come first — they are our identity,” he said. “Countries that preserve and practice their native language, culture, and traditions with pride hold a distinguished position in the world. India has always been a global leader because of its cultural richness.”

He further stated that efforts are being made to acquaint the new generation of students with traditional Indian art forms like Koodiyattam, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Maach, Bhagoria, Rai, and classical music. The participants in the workshop are joyfully engaging in their training and will present a theatrical performance of the play ‘Abhishek Natak’ as part of the event’s culmination.
