The relief will remain subject to the bail conditions already in force. According to the court’s order, he must return by November 16.

Bail conditions will remain applicable. Ashish Mishra is currently out on bail, but he was barred from going to his home town. His lawyer had sought permission for a limited period to meet his family on Diwali. Statements of 90 of 131 witnesses recorded. Emphasis on completing the trial on time. A bench headed by Chief Justice Surya Kant said the trial should be completed in a timely manner, but cross-examination of witnesses or important evidence should not be overlooked in haste. The court stressed that the prosecution must maintain a balance between fairness and a time-bound trial.

The case is linked to the 2021 violence. The matter relates to the violence that took place at Tikunia in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri district on October 3, 2021.
