Mumbai. Devotees remain curious about the counting of offerings received in the donation box of Mumbai’s famous Ganeshotsav mandal, Lalbaugcha Raja. Information has emerged that during the third day of counting too, devotees offered cash along with gold and silver jewellery and other valuable items. Lalbaugcha Raja is among Mumbai’s most famous Ganesh pandals. Every year during Ganeshotsav, a large number of devotees arrive here for darshan. Devotees put cash in the donation box according to their faith and also offer gold and silver jewellery to Lord Ganesh.

Cash, along with gold and silver offerings, is counted in an organised manner after the donation box is opened. Items made of gold and silver are assessed separately. The final details of the total donation amount and valuable items become clear only after the counting is completed. Devotees’ faith in Lalbaugcha Raja attracts a large number of people every year. The figures that emerge during the counting of offerings also become a subject of discussion among people. However, official confirmation of the exact amount of offerings received on the third day and the quantity of gold and silver should be made only on the basis of available figures.
