CNN Central News and Network–ITDC India ePress / ITDC News Bhopal: Under the guidance of AIIMS Bhopal’s Executive Director, Dr. Ajay Singh, the institution has achieved a significant milestone in the field of medical education. This includes the introduction of 11 new academic courses and the establishment of a new department.

Among the new courses are two MCH (Master of Chirurgiae) programs, focusing on Hand Surgery and Spine Surgery, addressing the growing demand for specialization in these areas. Additionally, seven new DM (Doctorate of Medicine) programs have been introduced, covering vital fields such as Virology, Tropical Infectious Diseases, Neuropathology, Hematopathology, Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Forensic Radiology, and Virtual Autopsy.

AIIMS Bhopal has also launched an MD course in Geriatric Medicine to meet the rising demand for healthcare services for the elderly population. Furthermore, an MSc course in Medical Biochemistry has been introduced to promote research and education in this rapidly evolving field.

In addition, the institute has established a new department, “Transplant Immunology and Immunogenetics,” focusing on the increasing importance of transplantation medicine and immunological studies.

In a historic move, AIIMS Bhopal has opened its PhD programs to sponsored international candidates, fostering global collaboration.

Executive Director Dr. Ajay Singh remarked,

Opening our PhD programs to international candidates will enhance global research collaboration, allowing us to contribute to the international medical community and improve healthcare services worldwide.”
