CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Srijan 3.0 was organized at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication. The event, hosted by the university’s Sahitya Mandali (Literary Society), was inaugurated under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Vijay Manohar Tiwari. Rajesh Bhatt, Program Head at All India Radio Bhopal, and Ajit Rai, renowned film critic, journalist, and author, were present as the chief guest and keynote speaker respectively.

Vice-Chancellor Tiwari appreciated the literary initiative taken by the students and highlighted the importance of reading books. He remarked, “Reading books can transform lives. Students should not only focus on academic texts but also explore literature.” He encouraged the students to preserve their originality.

Chief Guest Rajesh Bhatt emphasized that “through words and writing, one can reach anywhere.” Keynote speaker Ajit Rai urged students to understand the new era and asserted, “Those who don’t compromise with words become immortal.” He also highlighted the significant role of Indian cinema in socialization.

In the subsequent session, veteran journalist and director Jayaram Shukla, Professor Diwakar Shukla, and Swadesh Jyoti’s advisory editor Shivkumar Vivek discussed the various aspects of literature and journalism. On the relevance of Ramcharitmanas, Raghunandan Sharma, President of Manas Bhavan, Sanjay Dwivedi, Head of the Department of Mass Communication, and Arun Khobre, Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronic Media, shared deep insights that enriched the students’ knowledge. The session was moderated by Abhilasha Suman.

The Literary Society also organized a discussion on books at the university. In this special session, Premshankar Shukla, Chief Administrative Officer of Bharat Bhavan, expressed his views as the chief guest. The session was moderated by Kartikeya Pandey.

In the next session themed Literature and Power, Dean (Academics) Dr. P. Shashikala, Head of Journalism Department Prof. Rakhi Tiwari, and Director of Saptvarni Art-Literature Creation Research Chair Dr. Vinay Shadangi Rajaram shared their perspectives. The speakers emphasized that attempting to define a woman restricts her freedom. Literature becomes powerful only when it becomes a medium to express a woman’s own voice.

In the final session, a poetry writing workshop was held, where poet Mudit Shrivastava discussed poetry and creativity, and inspired journalism students to explore poetic expression.

On the inaugural day, University Registrar Avinash Vajpayee, faculty members of various departments, and students were present.
