CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal / Indore / Jabalpur : Understanding the significance of the sacred festival of Raksha Bandhan, the Chief Postmaster General of Madhya Pradesh Postal Circle, Bhopal, has launched the “Sukanya Raksha Abhiyan”. Alongside, this campaign will also be launched simultaneously in regional offices of Indore and Jabalpur, as well as all divisions of Madhya Pradesh.

This campaign will be conducted across all postal divisions of Madhya Pradesh till 30th September 2025.

The objectives of this campaign are as follows:

To open accounts under the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana in the name of eligible girl children at every post office in the Madhya Pradesh circle.

To also open Savings Accounts, Recurring Deposit (RD), and Time Deposit (TD) accounts for them.

In the 2,456 Sukanya-designated villages announced till May 2025, remaining eligible girls will be assisted in opening their Sukanya accounts.

In every district of Madhya Pradesh, at least two villages will be selected where all eligible girls’ Sukanya Samriddhi accounts will be opened and declared as “Complete Sukanya Villages” by 30th September 2025.

This initiative aims to promote financial empowerment of girls and to encourage savings for a secure and bright future.
