CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: As per the directives of the Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, Jabalpur, and under the guidance of Principal District and Sessions Judge Manoj Kumar Shrivastava, a mega legal awareness and assistance camp was organized in the auditorium of Career College. The objective of this camp was to provide free legal aid to the general public and to spread awareness about various government schemes. Additionally, grievances of the attendees were addressed on the spot.

Stalls from various departments, including Social Justice, Women and Child Development, Women Commission, Revenue, Police, Local Bodies, Medical, and Electricity departments, were set up at the camp. Through these stalls, citizens were informed about different schemes and their issues were resolved promptly.

The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and worship of Goddess Saraswati by retired Principal District Judge Bhavana Sadho and other dignitaries. On this occasion, a Saraswati Vandana and a song promoting de-addiction were presented to spread awareness.

Chief Guest Bhavana Sadho stated that the rising trend of substance abuse in society is a matter of serious concern, leading to increased family and social problems. She emphasized the importance of legal awareness and described such camps as a significant initiative for society.

District and Additional Sessions Judge Manoharlal Patidar shared measures to prevent cyber crimes, while Manoj Kumar Singh provided information about the process of obtaining free legal aid. Deputy Commissioner of Police Shraddha Tiwari urged citizens to report crimes promptly and informed them about the use of e-FIR and toll-free services.

Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Suneet Agrawal, highlighted the objectives of the camp. The event witnessed the presence of officials from various departments, members of the judiciary, panel lawyers, representatives of social organizations, and a large number of students.
