PR is not confined to media coverage alone; it involves leveraging various tools to create a positive image for an organization, product, or individual. Networks like LinkedIn play a crucial role in establishing the credibility and reputation of any brand or organization.
At a special workshop on “LinkedIn as a Tool of PR” organized by the Advertising and Public Relations Department of MCU, Ms. Tanushka Singh, Senior LinkedIn Content Strategist at ADG Craft Communication, Noida, emphasized this in her address. Explaining the concept of public relations, she highlighted the importance of LinkedIn, noting that professional networking can help establish lasting and meaningful relationships. LinkedIn serves as a key platform for delivering accurate and transparent information to investors and is a unique tool for building credibility at both corporate and individual levels. Addressing the students, she advised that LinkedIn profiles should be presented not merely as resumes but as personal brands.

She further stated that LinkedIn is not just a platform for job hunting; it is a PR tool that plays a significant role in brand building, investor relations, and perception management for both individuals and organizations. She also shared tips with the workshop participants on how to optimize their LinkedIn accounts.
On this occasion, Professor Pavitra Srivastava, Head of Department, highlighted that LinkedIn serves as a powerful platform connecting academic institutions with the industry. Students can access internship, training, and employment opportunities through LinkedIn. The platform is becoming increasingly valuable in the professional world, and strong public relations has emerged as a crucial medium.
